On the occasion of its first Sustainable Tradition and Responsible Innovation Conference that took place in San José, Costa Rica in September, 2010, the jury of the Proyecta 2010 Prize, convened by the Ibero-American Textile Network, and made up by Ismanda Correa Ruiz,  Dinorah Carballo Jiménez and  Lala de Dios as Jury President unanimously selected the Sachamanta project carried out by the Adobe Association in the Argentinian province of Santiago del Estero for having the most ambitious formulation and execution and obaining the highest score in view of its results, placing a value on raw materials and local textile traditions as well as empowering women as actors in their own social and economic advocacy.

In addition,  the jury awarded honorable mentions to the Fashion, Design and Embroidery project of the Vettonia de Talavera de la Reina (España) Foundation and El izote, fibra con identidad (México) despite having more specific and limited objectives they also have the quality of solid formulation and execution and have laid the foundations to achieve more ambitious objectives.  Strictly speaking, they could be considered as an initial stage of a long-term project, which is in fact, how both projects were considered.

In addition to the prize and the two honorable mentions awarded, the jury, unanimously highlighted the outstanding score well deserved by Taller Textil La Rueca of Cordoba, Argentina and recommended that the Ibero-American Textile Network establish an Ibero-American prize for a proven track record in defense of the cultural and social values of textile practices in future conferences.
